Mangalore : A farewell function arranged by DK district police department for the transferring Superintendent of Police Dr A Subramanyeshwar Rao at Ocean pearl on today.
Seemanth Kumar Singh, Police Commissioner said that Dr Rao was a disciplined officer and tried innovative things to maintain law and order. He had created the good atmosphere in DK District.
Presiding over the event, IGP Western Range Alok Mohan said that the transfer to SP Rao is a huge loss to the DK District and the gain to the CBI department in Bangalore.
Apart from being the good officials he is a good human being and praising him the words will fall short. There must have good team work in police department and happy to have it and will also work hard to maintain it in future. He also said that SP Rao was a good team leader.
Speaking after receiving the farewell from the officials, Dr A S Rao said that it was a emotional moment for him but he had to control it, since the department has given him the freedom to work more than he asked for.
He also said that the Dakshina Kannada district is unmatchable to any other district since the people of the districts recognize the good work of the officials and encourage the officials to work hard. The officer’s who were brought for training was very encouraging and this helped him to be more creative in the work he did. The Government has posted the fitted SP in his place and made a justice to the district.
Thanking media representatives, he said that the media has immensely supported him during his tenure and urged to render the same in future. Finally end u[p by thanking the public of the districts for encouraging him.
Senior officials honoured Dr A S Rao and his wife Dr Deepthi Rao with shawl, garland, fruits and memento on the occasion.
Newly joined SP Labu Ram, Additional DC Prabhakar Sharma, Puttur ASP Rohini Katoch, PA DCP Venkatesh Prasanna, Dy Sp Nanda Kumar, Dy SP Finger prints Harishchandra Hejamady also spoke on the occasion.
