Mangalore: The Pre-University level students of the Dakshina Kannada have made the district proud with giving the highest pass percentage in the state.
Among the toppers, Canara PU College student Venkatesh Kamath have topped in the district with the tremendous total of 594 in six subjects and securing first rank in PCME stream.
Kamath, son of G Suresh and Sudha Kamath had secured a total of 100 in each subjects like Chemistry, Mathematics and Electronics and 99 in Physics.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that he wish to pursue his engineering education in electronics stream and gave the credit for his success to his parents, tutorials and college.
Another topper Pooja Baliga, a student of Canara College secured the second rank in PCMS stream with the grand total of 593 marks. She is a proud daughter of Radhakrishna and Chandrika Baliga.
St Agnes College student Sanchita Kamath from Commerce stream has scored 100 in all the four core subjects.
Expert PU College student Sridevi Bhat, daughter of Madhusudan and Bharati Bhat of Maryhill secured a total of 590 marks in the science stream.
