Mangalore : The Dakshina Kannada district unit of the Yuva Janata Dal staged a protest in front of  the DC office in Mangalore on January 19, Saturday to condemn the anti-people policies of both the Union and state governments

The agitators strongly condemned the killing of two Indian soldiers by the Pak army recently and urged the Indian Government to initiate merciless action against Pakistan.

The Speakers at the protest including T Krishnappa Poojari, District Yuva JD(S) President and Srinath Rai, District Working President, also accused the state government of not initiating any stern  measure  to check the rising cases of atrocities on women.  It also criticized the government for its failure to check corruption which has become rampant. The protest also drew the attention of the authorities towards several problems faced by the masses due to soaring prices of essential commodities.

Waheed Khan, General Secretary of district unit, BK Hariprasad Rai, Vice President,  Krishna AP, District General Secretary, Akshith Suvarna, President of Mangalore South Asssembly unit Yuva Janata Dal, Sudarshan Bantwal, District Yuva Janata Dal General Secretary and others were present.
