Mangaluru: Demanding stern action against the assault on media personnel, Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists Union members submitted a memorandum to ADC Kumar and DCP Dr Sanjeev Patil on Wednesday.

DKWJU President Jagannatha Shetty Bala, General Secretary Shrinivas Nayak Indaje, outgoing President Harish Rai, Reporters Mohammad Areef, Pushparaj Shetty and victims of the assault Bharatraj, Irshad, Wilfred D’Souza and others were present.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Journalists Union DK Unit also submitted a memorandum seeking action against the assaulters to DCP Shantharaju.

Unit President K Sudesh Kumar, Vice-President Shivasharan Shetty and others were present.
