Mangaluru : The subsidy amount of Rs 8 crore could not be credited to the accounts of milk producers coming under the Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers Union Ltd (DKMUL), said an official.
The officer was speaking at the district consultative meeting for banking development on Wednesday.
At the meeting chaired by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, the official said, “There are 73,000 beneficiary farmers with the DKMUL. About 14,000 beneficiaries are facing problem in linking their accounts to their respective Aadhaars.
“Although bank officials have given letters stating that the accounts have been linked with Aadhaar, when the DKMUL tries to transfer the amount, we are getting a message on failure to link Aadhaar.”
