Mangalore : The members of Domestic Workers’ Rights Union staged a protest rally for the various demands In-front of DCO gates to mark International Domestic Workers’ Day here on Monday June 16.

Speaking at protest rally M Baby said, we need one day leave in a week. We work for seven days a week in a domestic works in various houses, the salary could not sufficient to the needs of my family.

She urged that, deputy commissioner A B Ibrahim have to provide safety for the work. The Labour Department must issue the identity cards to the domestic workers for access schemes benefits.
