Mangalore: A relic of Don Bosco was welcomed by city Bishop Rev.Dr.Aloysius Paul D’Souza in city, at a holy mass for a youth at 11am on Aug 25th. One more mass will be held by Vicar-General Denis M.Prabhu at 4pm.
Sessions of Don Bosco’s life will be held for parish leaders in Church Hall in the afternoon. Devotees (catholics) will venerate the relic till 6pm onThursday.
There are 400 D.B centres all over India and 26 centres are in Karnataka. The followers of Don Bosco, Known as Salesians have adopted a village Pavoor, near Manjeshwar in Kerala, to work for the upliftment of primitive tribes there. It is the only Church holding mass prayers in Tulu.
