Udupi : Dr Boralingaiah who was serving as Udupi district superintendent of police (SP) will assume the charge as SP of Davangere, followed by the transfer passed by state government on July 31, Thursday.

SP Boralingaiah who has served the district for more than two years had assumed charge as SP of Udupi on January 27, 2012. His transfer order was passed along with five IAS and 31 IPS officers of the state.

SP Boralingaiah will be replaced by P Rajendra Prasad who was serving as the SP in Chamarajanagar. In the ear 2013, SP Prasad was promoted to the rank of IPS officer.
