Mangalore : Mangalore’s well-known physician and professor of Medicine at AJ Institute of Health Sciences,  Dr B Devadas Rai has been elected Rotary District Governor of RI District 3180 for the year 2012-13.

The new office bearers of the Rotary District will be installed at a function to be held at St Sebastian Hall in Mangalore on June 30, Saturday. Rai will take over from HL Ravi, the outgoing District Governor. Rotary International Director Elect  P.T. Prabhakar  from Chennai will be the chief guest along with Dr Shantharam Shetty, eminent orthopedician and Vice Chancellor of Nitte University.

During his tenure Dr Rai will ensure the successful implementation of various Rotary schemes.
