Mangalore: Dr B Devadas Rai took charge as the Governor of Rotary District 3180 at a  function held at St Sebastian Hall in Mangalore recently. Dr Rai is a senior consultant physician and Prof of Medicine at AJ Hospital.

He took charge from outgoing Governor HL Ravi.  PT Prabhaker of Chennai, Rotary International Director Elect, who was present as a chief guest, released the Rotary members directory compiled and edited by MV Mallya.

Dr Shantaram Shetty, Vice Dean of Nitte University,  wished more meaningful programmes would be chalked out during the tenure of Dr Rai.
Dr Rai in his address promised to fulfill various schemes of the Rotary effectively and with much more vigour.
Various Rotary office bearers were present on the occasion.
