Mangalore: Dr H Sudarshan, Director Karuna Trust said that good governance is required in the state and country and not the government which loots the natural resources like Bellary mining.

He was speaking after inaugurating the two day national seminar ‘Samprapthi-2011’- Sustainable Development : Towards a self  Reliant India’ organised by MSW Department at Eric Mathias Hall of St Aloysius College on October 18, Tuesday.

He said that while speaking about political sustainability, corruption stands first where it starts from gram panchayath level to Legislative Assembly. .Today mother earth is being looted in the hands of political leaders, he added.

Fr Swebert D’Silva SL, principal said that when people become greedy and look for their own benefits, the development of society retards.
