Dr. Swamy spoke of rampant corruption all over India and among the richer classes who had deposited as much as 1,200 laks of crores of rupees in foreign banks overseas, while the total income tax collection from salaried middle classes did not go beyond Rs. 2 lakh crores in collection. This called for the abolition of income tax system as hole with its corrupt Govt. officers, he demanded. If only the hidden money had come out, the Govt. of India would have no foreign loans to pay for its development schemes he added.
