Mangalore: The Dakshina Kannada Cooperative Milk Producers Societies’ Union Ltd has insisted the state Government to allot 10 acre of land for the expansion of its dairy in Udupi district said Mr Raviraj Hegde, President of the Dakshina Kannada Cooperative Milk Producers’ Societies’ Union.
Speaking at the launch of ‘Nandini Bite’, produced at the Mangalore dairy of the cooperative he said that the production capacity of Manipal dairy is 60,000 litres of milk per day, but there is demand for more than one lakh litres of milk a day. Speaking after launching Nandini Bite in Mangalore market Higher Education Minister Dr V S Acharya said that new innovations in dairy segment will help develop new products and market. He also said that, Nandini Bite is mix of Mysore pak and chocolate.
