Mangalore : In the preparatory meeting held to discuss the Koti Namarchane, which is scheduled to take place at Shri Gopalakrishna Temple in Shaktinagar from April 20 – 29, 2012 various scholars, and representatives and trustees of temples gathered at temple’s Sumanasa Auditorium on Nov 27 Sunday.
As a part of it, a committee was formed in which Dharmasthala Dharmadhikai Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade is selected as its honorary president, Vinay Hegde as the president, and K. C. Naik, the managing trustee of the temple, as the working president.
The honorary advisors are Erya Laxminaraya Alva, Dr. Prabhakar Bhat Kalladka, J.Krishna Palemar, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, N. Yogish Bhat, Vidwan Panja Bhaskar Bhat, and Sharavu Raghavendra Shashtri. The conveners are Dr. P. Ananthakrishna Bhat and Prof. M. B. Puranik. Krishna Kumar is the general secretary, Satyanarayan Batrakody is the joint secretary, and Sanjit Naik is the treasurer.
Dr. Prabhakar Bhat Kalladka distributed tulsi plants and seeds to the members given by Sathish Nayak on the occasion.
K. C. Naik welcomed the gathering and Prof. M. B. Puranik delivered the introductory address. Vidwan Panja Bhaskar Bhat, Erya Laxminarayana Alva, Dr. Prabhakar Bhat Kalladka, and Dr. Vaman Shenoy addressed the gathering.
