Dharmasthala: In a tribute paid to late Mathur Krishna Murthy, director of Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, in Bangalore, who died today in a private hospital, Dr. D.Veerendra Heggade in a condolence message relayed from Dharmasthala soon after, stated that Moorthy was a great scholar and was a living example of Indian culture that survived thousands of years.
Dr. Heggade referred to the wonderful programmes organized by Mathur in London, out of this deep learning and understanding of several matters, which he had attended.
Mathur earned popularity for the way he celebrated marriages and festivals in an exemplary way before foreigners, who eagerly accepted Indian traditions from him.
