Bangalore:  Regional Transport officials of Bangalore have slapped penalty on as many as 500 vehicle owners on June 4, Tuesday for not adhering to the instructions to remove the tinted glasses of their vehicles within the stipulated time period.

Around ten teams of officials who were on the road since morning inspected a number of vehicles and registered cases under Motor Vehicles Act apart from penalizing the offenders to the tune of Rs 100 each. There were even instances of some motorists entering into an altercation with transport officials.

Regional Transport Commissioner T Shyam Bhat has said the drive would continue.
