Mangalore : Two people sustained injuries as a water tanker topples after colliding into an electric pole near AJ Hospital on April 29, Tuesday.

The incident took place as a water tanker named ‘Sri Ganesh Prasad’ was on its way to Kadri after supplying water to Konchady, hit the electric pole, as the car moving front of the tanker applied sudden brakes.

The driver of the tanker who was unaware of the brake, tried to apply brake of tanker, but when it lost control, he had to take it to the roadside, unfortunately hitting the pole before overturning.

In the incident, tanker driver Ranjith and his assistant Purushottam sustained injuries, while another person Suraj luckily escaped unhurt.

A case has been registered at Kadri East Traffic Police station.
