Mangalore : The youth should not forget that alcoholism and drug abuse would lead them nowhere while destroying their career and disturbing their families, said BS Sharafuddin, Kuwait.
He was speaking on the topic ‘Drug abuse and alcoholism’ organised by the Students Islamic Organisation of India, Karnataka zone, at Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Business Management, on February 22, Friday. Stressing the need for harmonious relationship among family members, he said youth fall prey to evils when they distance themselves from their families.
He also exhorted youngsters to focus on their goals in life.
Devaraj, Principal of SDM College of Business Management who also spoke, substance abuse among youth has also led to increasing cases of crime.
