Mangalore : A mother has allegedly left her child on the road side in the drunken state near Central Railway Station on October 12, Sunday at around 6.00 pm.

As the huge crowd gathered to watch the heartless incident immediately informed the police

The gathered around sprinkled water on the woman’s face and when she woke up, she mercilessly started beating the child.

The police department arrived at the spot. The people stopped her urged the police to send the child to the child home but police denied since it was against the law.

Althought the gathered people informed the incident to child helpline, they did not seem to respond properly.

Later the police and gathered crowd rescued child and the mother.
