Mangalore : As the function of Independence Day was held at Nehru Maidan, the Karnataka Dalit Sangharsha Samithi-Ambedkar Vada (DSS) staged a peaceful protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office on August 15, Sunday against anti-people policies of the state government.
Protesters said that the government is damaging the values of independence through illegal activities and corruption. Hence they the Chief Minister must be suspended from the post.
The state government is snatching the independence of the minorities and Dalits in all possible ways, like the controversial Anti-Cattle-Slaughter Bill imposed which directly attack many people.
