Kasargod : A case of the alleged rape of a high school student by an autorickshaw driver and his friend has come to  light of late almost a week after the incident. Police have arrested two persons including an autorickshaw driver and his friend from Badiadka in connection with the case.

The duo are Ibrahim Khaleel (34) and Khalid (32). The case stood exposed when the girl  spoke about it with her parents on Saturday following which a complaint was lodged. The two were arrested on Sunday.

According to sources, the girl had boarded Khaleel’s auto to go to school. But, he had taken her to a deserted area and raped her in an unoccupied house along with his friend Khalid. They had also warned her of grave consequences if she revealed the matter before anyone.

Investigations are underway by Badiadka police.
