Kasargod: Kumble police have nabbed two persons who were allegedly trying to sell ganja to Gulf countries, on Thursday.
Muhammed Ashraf A B alias Asru (29) of Uppal and Anwar Ahmed alias Bhaijan (58) are the arrested persons. They were trying to sell the ganja by packing it in toast packets.
It is reported that both had approached a person who is supposed to leave to Gulf country on October 30. Before leaving from here, accused asked him to deliver a toast packet to one of their friend who is working in Gulf country.
The youth got suspicion on the packet and while opening it he found traces of ganja between toasts. Immediately he reported to Kumbla police station and handed over the packet to the police. While inspecting the packet, police found 300 grams of ganja stuffed in middle of toasts.
Police have arrested duo for attempting to smuggle banned goods to the foreign country.
