Kasargod : Nearly 52 kg of ganja which was being transported in a Tata Sumo vehicle, by concealing the same in a special compartment in the roofing of the vehicle, has been seized  by a police team led by Circle Inspector Sunil Kumar. The raid was done following a tip off.

The police arrested KA Nawaz(32) of Kottayam and CH Saleem (32) of Neeleshwar. Police said they were smuggling the ganja from Kottayam to Uppala.

The rampant drugs trafficking and peddling has proved a big head ache to the police in Kasargod. In various operations in the past two months police have seized nearly two quintals of ganja.
