Mangaluru : Enforcers of Intellectual Property Rights (India) Pvt. Ltd. and the Mangaluru North Police carried out raids on shops here allegedly dealing with fake Samsonite bags, seized over 200 such bags and arrested two persons.

According to an FIR registered with the police, raids were conducted on Shringar Bags, Maidan 4th Cross, Bibi Alabi Road, and Latest Bags (Leather), opposite Service Bus Stand, Maidan Road. While 175 bags were seized from Shringar Bags, 56 were seized from Latest Bags, a release said. The police arrested two persons, one each from these shops, under Sections 51(A), 51(B) and 63 of Copyrights Act
