Mangaluru: Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade contributed a sum of Rs 5 crore to PM-Cares Fund in support to India’s fight against coronavirus pandemic, informed SKDRDP executive director Dr L H Manjunath.
Meanwhile Dr Veerendra Heggade on Friday urged all the SHG members of SKDRDP to maintain discipline and follow the social distancing guidelines issued by government.
Social distancing norms must be followed, even if the lockdown is lifted in order to contain the spread of Covid-19, he stressed. \
He said that the Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (DRDP) staff was providing the necessary assistance to the needy families in the state during statewide lockdown. To self-help groups to control the economic shock caused by the covid issue, the SKDRDP has launched an emergency lending program through the Self Help Groups. The association is offering members up to Rs.25,000. for immediatly release.
