Mangalore: An introduction to the path traversed by CM Derlampady Sadananda Gowda in his 58 years of life of which over 3 decades were spent in public service, as a lawyer, and elected representative, from rural to legislative levels in various places, like Sullia(taluk), Puttur(taluk as MLA twice), Mangalore city(MP), Udupi-Chikkamaglur region(as MP now), and lastly, as new CM after B.S.Yeddyurappa,(the second CM at present, as also MP), all these developments are being covered in an Akashvani (Radio) programme in Karnataka state, with a special interview provided by Gowda to listeners.
It has been broadcast from all ten or more (13) Radio centres of the state, as on Aug 2(Varamahalakshmi Vrata day,Friday) at morning 8-15am.
Gowda ha been the BJP state chairman when BJP under Yeddyurappa came to power, with him(Yeddy) being Dy CM for 20 months(2006-07) and in 2008, CM for a little over 3 years.
Although Eshwarappa became BJP head in state, Gowda was ushered in as CM in a keen contest on Aug 1 by secret ballot against former speaker J.Shettar.

The local AIR station broadcasting executive, Dr.Perla Sadanand had met and spoken to the new CM, Gowda to produce this timely programme, providing information to youth on leadership in days to come, and the rise of a little known rural area farming boy to the post of state Chief Minister.
