Mangalore : They were inseparable chums as long as DVS Gowda was state BJP chief and Yeddyurappa was CM and leader of legislature party. Not any more.
DVS Gowda has been promised the KMF top post, which went to Gali Reddy brothers’ youngest kinsman, G. Somashekhara Reddy, as Gowda was an MP. He switched districts from DK to Udupi to continue as an MP, but was overlooked for a plum post in the state after his term as BJP chief ended and K.S. Eashwarappa took over. Gowda waited for 3 months extended to 6 months. When nothing happened, he has resigned as director of KMF, seemingly for the reason that Vijay Mallya was backed by secondary votes from BJP to win as an Independent. Mallya did not go to BJP but BJP went to Mallya soon after the GIM in which Mallya was a star investor apart from Laxminivas Mittal and Infosys. Gowda’s resignation puts him against CM Yeddyurappa for all purposes. The heart burn (for Gowda) is in the fact that CM has kept on ignoring him in the party echelon, like Shobha K. CM has a bad habit of conspiring against friends and sidelining them.
