Bangalore: On return from his maidan visit to home district DK and his hometown in Sullia, Devaragunta Sadananda Gowda, CM on Monday told media that the phase 1 of Metro (Railway) Reach from Byappanahalli (Hebbal) to Mahatma Gandhi Road (Cantonment heart) was ready for day-to-day operations for about 16 kms.
CM Gowda unfurled the Indian National Tricolour flag at FM Maneckshaw grounds near M.G.Road and took the salute at the parade.
He said “Namma (our) Metro” was the highlight of BJP Governments annual achievements this year. He had invited PM Singh to inaugurate the new sky route railway and requested him to clear all necessary formalities to complete the entire project at shortest time possible.
Gowda said his Government was committed to develop rural and urban areas side by side equally for infrastructural facilities in the state. 211 towns are basically improved at huge costs, he added.
