Madikeri: Karthik Gowda, son of Union Law Minister DV Sadananda Gowda and Datty  tied the knot with Rajashri, the daughter of Koodakandi Nanaiah, hotelier in Kodagu amid tight security at Kushalnagar Raitha Sahakara Bhavan on Friday , October 30.

Sadananda Gowda and his wife presented their son with a luxury Audi A6, costing Rs 1.25 crore as a wedding gift.

Several union ministers were seen at the wedding in which about 10,000 guests participated.

The `chappara’ ceremony and Hase Mane Shastra was performed at Karthik house on Thursday.

The marriage took place in Dhanur lagna at 11.20 am and the muhurtham was at 12.30 pm. The lunch served had a variety of cuisines including a Kodagu pork dish, angel fish curry, chana bhatura, fruit salad and other local delicacies.

The media was kept at a distance from the venue.

It should be noted that Karthik Gowda was accused of rape and cheating by actor Mythria who claimed the Karthik married her in June 2014.
