Udupi: Nearly 15000 families received Manipal Arogya Cards at a function organized by G Shanker Family Trust, Mogaveera Sangha and Manipal University at Shamili Auditorium here on September 1. Deputy Chief Minister KS Eshwarappa inaugurated the function. Minister for Ports and Mujrai Kota Srinivas Poojari distributed health cards to some beneficiaries.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy CM lauded the efforts made by the Trust in responding to the problems of the poor.

G Shankar, President of the G Shanker Family Trust, also spoke on the occasion.  H S Ballal of Manipal University, Jaya C Kotian and President of Mogaveera Yuva Sangha were felicitated for their contribution to the society.

Jayaprakash Hegde, MP of Udupi, Lalaji R Mendon, Gopal Bhandary, Raghupathi Bhat, Legislators, Sabhapathi, former MLA and Congress leader Pramod Madhwaraj were present on the occasion.
