Kollur: Deputy Chief Minister KS Eshwarappa along with his wife and family members visited Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple and offered special prayers to the Goddess, on August 24, Friday.

K Laxmi Narayan, Byndoor MLA , Shankar Shetty Belladi, Taluk panchayat President, Mohandas Shenoy, President of Kundapur municipality and others accompanied the deputy chief minister during his visit.

Later, speaking to reporters,  Eshwarappa made it clear that his visit was not with any political motive. He said he offered Chandika Homa  seeking the welfare of the state which is reeling under drought conditions.

When asked his opinion about depriving cabinet berth to Halady Srinivas Shetty,  Eshwarappa only said “ Shetty is a simple man and I respect him and his friendship.”
