Mangaluru: DYFI, DSS, SFI and other organisations staged protest, on Thursday against the murder of Praveen Poojary and urged the action against so called ‘gorakshakas’ at DC Office.

Addressing the gathering DYFI state President Muneer Katipalla said that, Sangha Parivar and its associate organisations are the reason behind this murder.

“The real face of Sangha Parivar has been exposed now. Though the victim is from same organisation none of the leaders are speaking on his murder,” he alleged.

He further said that backward caste youths are the prey of Sangha Parivar. Arrested youths belong to backward caste community. This case should be taken seriously.

“All the accused should be punished. A higher level investigation should take place. Concerned authorities should give justice to Praveen’s family,” he said, urging that the accused should be arrested under Goonda Act.

DYFI leaders Santhosh Bajal, Dayananda Shetty, Imtiyaz B K, SFI leader Nitin Kutthar and others were present.
