Mangalore : The DYFI organized the ‘Mangalore City Corporation Chalo’ and Mass application giving programme demanding the to sanction for plots for the homeless people in front of Mangalore City Corporation on Feb 21, Monday.
Addressing the protestors, Muneer Katipalla, deputy president of DYFI said that the number o homeless people are increasing day to day due to the MSEZ and by the luxury construction of Real Estate and creates problem for the people.
He also said that the prices of the essential commodities have increased and the house rent has also increased, hence the common people cannot afford to own a land to construct the house.
Criticizing the BJP government, he said that the BJP Government celebrated its 1000 days of coming to power, but they must not forget that large numbers of people of the state have come to street in these 1000 days.
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said that the congress has not made any development in their power, but CM remember that, if the government implement such kind of rule, then BJP government will not come in power for another 200 years, he said.
The District Commissioner Subodh Yadav and District in charge Krishna J Palemar are unaware of the fact the number of application applied for the plot by the people piled up in the Mangalore City Corporation, he said.
The DYFI will not only stage protest for the demand to be fulfilled, but we will not allow the concerned authorities to move freely on the streets, he added.
The ministers must not forget that all he rich and poor people are having only one vote, but still the bias has been done, he informed.
He said that CM goes for temples and donates large amount of money and spend a lot for black magic’s, but what can he do to the black magic created upon him because of the poor peoples tear.
DYFI leaders like Santhosh, Basheer, Ashok, Samsheer and others were present.
