Mangalore: A protest rally was held by DYFI and similar Outfits in front of DC office gates on Dec 26 evening to condemn atrocities against women, and several rape cases in Manipal, Deralakatte, Bantwal which proved the failure of local police forces to bring down number of crimes taking place often in coastal region, and seeking a satisfactory solution to this collapse of low and order maintenance in these twin-districts in Karnataka.

A new DC and a New CPC have been appointed recently who need to study the problems of the area in regard to crimes taking place almost every day in one area or the another, without any attempt by police to prevent them.

Muneer Katipalla chief of District unit of DYFI reeled out several incidents of attacks on pressmen, on women talking to from another cast in Bantwal, Student in Vamanjoor by group of people and such other cases were multiplying all over the DK district and the police were unable to check such incidents and bring peace to common people in the society.

He called for a fearless society under a govt. that acts and protects the citizens of this coastal area.
