Mangalore : The members of of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) staged protest demanding the immediate repair of the cities inner roads in front of Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) on October 25, Monday.
Addressing the protestors, Muneer Katipalla, district president of DYFI, said that MCC has ignoring his responsibility to repair of inner roads and fully involved in concretizing the main roads.
He said that the inner roads in Suratkal, Urvastore, Kannur, Panjinamogeru, Bajal, Konchady, Kavoor, Shakthinagar and others areas have completely neglecting the roads.
The members of DYFI took out a rally from Jail road. Later the protesters submitted a memorandum to MCC Commissioner KN Vijayaprakash through executive engineer Muralidhar.
He informed that the residents and pedestrians of these areas are suffering from various problems due to lack of a proper road. Hence it must be repaired soon.
