Mangalore : The Panjimogaru unit Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) organized a 24-hour long dharna in front of DC office on Sep 6, Friday demanding CBI probe in Panjimogaru Double Murder case.
Addressing the protestors, DYFI district president Muneer Katipalla said that the police have failed to investigate the matter and arrest the real culprits due to political forces.
The police officials who had told to arrest the culprit since they had found the concrete evidence, but now they have maintained silence and not revealing about it now. They have also failed to arrest the culprit even after 2 years.
The police department who is investigating the victim’s family is not investigating facts which have to be investigated.
The delay in the investigation is leading in to clash between families of Razia’s husband and brothers. Now when both families had urged to hand over the case to the CBI and this must be done soon, he said.
DYFI Panjimogaru unit president Basheer Ahmed, Secretary Ibrahim Khaleel, corporator Dayanand Shetty, DYFI city unit secretary Santhosh Bajal, Soumya Panjimogaru, student leader Jeevan Kuthar, labourer union leader Vasanth Achari, Anil D’Souza and Jayanthi Shetty were present.
