Mangaluru : Ecumenical Christmas Sauhardha program was held at Cascia Church Hall, Morgan’s Gate Mangalore on Saturday evening, 14 December 2024.
The celebration was jointly organised by All Karnataka United Christian Forum for Human Rights (AKUCHFHUR- Western Zone) and Mangalore Christian Council.
Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore presided over the celebration and gave an apt message of peace and harmony to the wounded world. He said.
His Grace Yakub Mar Elias, the Bishop of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Brahmavar diocese spoke on the occasion and said

Rt. Rev. Hemachandra Kumar, the Bishop of CSI Karnataka Southern diocese said.
Rev. Charles S., the Diocesan Vicar of Believers Eastern Church, Karnataka & Goa region conducted prayer service and invoked God’s blessings in the beginning of the program.
The program was inaugurated through lighting the lamp by the esteemed Bishops and Religious Provincials gathered.
Very Rev. Maxim Noronha, the Vicar General of Mangalore diocese, Sr Lilly Pereira, Provincial Superior of Bethany, Sr Leena V.J. Provincial Superior of SRA, Rev. Eric Crasta, many priests, pastors, Religious Sisters and people of were present.
Later on children and youth from different churches, including Remona Pereira, a Bharatha Natya Dancer of national fame who received award from Indian Prime Minister, presented cultural programs and carols. Dinner was served to all present.
The program was organised by the office bearers Rev. Rupesh Madtha, Rev. Prabhuraj M., Rev. Goldin J. Bangera and Dr KV Sebastian along with the members of Ecumenical Commission in Mangalore diocese. Anila Dsa and Theresa Pereira compeered the program.
