Mangaluru : Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid) celebrated with special namaz (prayers) at various masjids in Mangalore on Wednesday, Agust 22.

The Idgah Masjid in Light House Hill Road, after offering Namaz, childrens, parents exchanged Eid-Mubarak wishes. Community members offered special prayers at the Idgah Masjid at the Light House Hill. Mangalore Khazi Twaka Ahmed Musliyar led the prayers and later delivered blessings.

Eid-al-Adha marks Prophet Abraham’s sacrifice of a lamb after God spared his son, Prophet Ismail. Muslim brethren are expected to inculcate the same values of devotion while celebrating the festival.

Special namaz was offered by the community members at the Masjid Thwaqa at Pumpwell in the City.

Badriya Juma Masjid and Hayatul Islam Madras Bajal Nantoor under leadership of Ilyas Amjadi offered Eid Namaz and hold Khutuba Parayana.
