Mangaluru : Eight persons of a family sent to medical check up at Wenlock hospital today for illegally entering in to Karnataka from Kasargod in a boat via sea water.

A case was also registered against the family at Bajpe police station.

from Kerala which crossed over illegally by boat to reach Talapady and cross over to Addur.

Yakoob (48) with his family crossed over to Talapady through water in a boat to Talapady with the help of Shakir. he had  provided all logistical support for him to land at Talapady and cross over to Addur.

“Yakoob has violated all norms issued by the governments,  in this connection a case has been registered at Bajpe police station against Yakoob and six others. The investigation is under progress.

The quarantine status of the family will be monitored by liaison with the district health officers.
