Mangaluru: Because of time sense of a 8 year old child, two people were saved from dying after they fell in the well, near Holy Family School, Bajpe on Tuesday.

Parry Jaan (23) and her husband Hussain (25) of Chitrdurga were working at Bebi Jaan’s home. She was a 80 year old lady. Her children are working in abroad so they had hired two workers to look after their mother. On Tuesday, Parry Jaan went near house’s well to check the water pump. Accidentally she slipped off and fell in well. Her husband Hussain, who was watching TV heard the sound and jumped into the well to save his wife. The rope which was tied to the top of the well got cut and there was no chance of climbing the walls.

Their child eight year of Seema, saw her parents in a helpless situation and rushed towards the nearest shop and succeeded in gathering the people. Some informed fire personnel also.

Locals tried to save the duo, but their efforts went in vain. Later fire service personnel saved both of them and the tale ended in a happy ending.

Both have survived with minor injuries and admitted to near primary health centre.

Timely intervention of Bajpe police and fire service personnel has saved two lives.
