Mangalore : To be an elected representative does not mean that  one rises  to a high status or position., It shoulders one with great responsibility, said Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo.

He was responding to a felicitation conferred on him and eight corporators on behalf of the St Sebastian Church, Bendore at the Church Auditorium on June 15, Saturday.

Corporators honoured on the occasion were Naveen R D’Souza, Sabitha Misquith, Ashok Kumar D K, Vinay Raj AC, Keshava, Asha D’Silva, Roopa D Bangera and Akhila Alva.

Fr Antony Serrao, Parish Priest of Bendore Church, presided over the function.

Fr Paul Crasta, Fr John Baptist, Fr Michael Santhumayer, Ronald Mayer and others were present on the occasion.
