Mangaluru: Election for all vacant grama panchayat seats will be conducted August 28. Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada has sent an official notice to the concerned authorities on August 16. The time table of the election has been prepared by the election commission.

Last date of submission of nominations has been fixed to August 19. Enquiry of the nominations will be done on August 20. Last date to withdraw the admission is August 22. August 28 has been fixed as the polling date and the votes will be counted on August 31.

There are eleven vacant seats in the district. Beluvai, Bajpe, Badaga Ullipady, Mallur and Adyar GP’s have vacant seats.

In Tahashildar office’s press release it is said that interested candidates can submit their nominations before the due date.
