Bangalore: It appears that CM Yeddyurappa has sworn today that he would never speak a bad word against the Governor, but yesterday on return from Delhi to a rousing reception at the BIAL he is reported to have said that he would not rest till the Governor is gone! Has he softened on Tuesday, or is he blowing hot and cold against an older man placed higher than himself, one cannot tell. He addressed newsmen as usual on May 24 to tell them that he would not prove his majority again on June 2 when the Budget session opened. There was no need for it, he said, when all MLAs are present there (assembly) in a majority behind him.
He promised not to utter one word more on Governor as he had exhausted all there is to say. He was in a mood to work more and harder, CM added. P. Chidambaram in New Delhi stated that the Karnataka Governor would stay where he is now.
CM, however, permitted the party leaders to protest against Governor’s excesses, in case.
