Mangalore: The Southern Railway begins a new Superfast train running via Mangalore (Kankanady) Junction route from Ernakulam (Kochi) to Pune from Nov. 27, today.
The train runs twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday at 5-15 am from Ernakulam and every Sunday and Wednesday at 6.45 pm from Pune
The train passes through Thrissur, Shornur, Thirur, Kozhikode, Tellisherry, Kannur, Kasaragod, Mangalore Junction (Kankandy-Padil) Madgaon (Goa), Sawantwadi and Panvel stations.
E. Ahmed, Minister of state for Railways in Union Cabinet showed the green flag at 9 am today (Nov.27) to the first fast train to Pune, reaching at 11.20 in the morning of Sunday (Nov.28).
