Bangalore: Even as the state is reeling under drought conditions and when the government has made it a point to ministers and officials against going on foreign tours, the State BJP President has sprung a surprise by embarking on a foreign tour along with his family on May 7, Monday. Eshwarappa and family is expected to visit Malaysia, Nepal and other nations.
Commenting on the foreign tour, CM Gowda said there was nothing wrong in Eshwarappa going on a foreign tour and that he would summon him back if necessary.
Meanwhile, KPCC Chief G Parameshwar also voiced the same opinion and said as Eshwarappa was not part of the government and moreover it was his private visit.
