Bangalore: State BJP President KS Eshwarappa has said that the party has taken the issue of cross voting by some MLAs during MLC elections very seriously and would initiate stern action against the errant MLAs.

Speaking to reporters, he said “12 MLAs have been found to have resorted to cross voting.” He further added that in the past seven MLAs who had committed the same mistake in Rajya Sabha elections were denied tickets in the next elections.

Similar action would follow even against the cross voter MLAs, he warned.
