Mangalore : There is more trouble for the JD(S) which is already reeling under problems due to internal bickering. DM Aslam, former president of the JD(S) district minorities cell who spoke to reporters in Mangalore on April 30, Tuesday, has said that he would openly campaign for the JD(S) candidate JR Lobo in Mangalore South.
He said he aims at defeating JD(S) candidate from the constituency SP Changappa. Coming down heavily on the attitude of the district leadership of the party, Aslam said it was such an attitude that forced him to quit. He said he has resigned from the primary membership of the party and added the JD(S) state chief HD Kumaraswamy was yet to take a decision on his resignation.
He also predicted that none of the JD(S) candidates except Amarnath Shetty would secure more than 2000 votes.
Sattar, Rahim, Mansoor and others were present at the press meet.
