Bangalore: A former minister and JDS leader B.P Yetnal has thrown a bomb over BJP today by a serious allegation that CM Yeddyurappa had bribed Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram and Law Minister M. Veerappa Moily, to ignore state Governor’s recommendation on imposing the President’s rule over Karnataka (for the 6th time) this week.
Speaking to newsmen on Wednesday, May 18, Basavana Gowda Patil accused the two Congress leaders of creating hurdles in the process of dismissing an anti-democratic government run by BJP, the reason being they were in receipt of bribes from Yeddyurappa, Yetnal charged. Local Congress leaders like Mysore MP, H. Vishwanath and former state minister D.K Shiva Kumar did not want Congress to rule anymore in its former bastion, Karnataka, so they have also applied pressure on Centre, not to impose President’s rule by dismissing BJP rule, he added.
Yetnal said he would pray for enlightenment among Congress leaders in Delhi, to change the corrupt BJP rule. JDS would fight both Congress and BJP, now mired in corruption holes. Lingayats never favoured corrupt ways and acts. But the people have to teach a proper lesson to CM Yeddyurappa on his caste politics in the name of Lingayat rule in Karnataka, Yetnal spelled out.
