Bangalore: The CM. Yeddyurappa is caught in a spin, as he cannot expand his cabinet and the portfolios in vacant Ministerial posts need to be filled up. He is thinking of distribution of such vacant portfolios among the existing Ministers. He has made the preliminary round of talks with party leaders and cabinet members on this issue, on Tuesday last, at his residence.
Six vacancies exist after removing Ministers in an early shake-up. To overcome non – implementation of certain developmental works in those portfolios, they are proposed to be given to existing Ministers for temporary charge.
A decision is likely any moment now, sources said. Meanwhile, BJP state Chief K.S Eashwarappa has welcomed the second Ordinance creating new reservations for OBCs and backward people to have more say in ZP/TP Panchayat election which would not be delayed, according to this option.
