Bangalore: The excise departments run by Yeddy’s favourite crony, minister M.P. Renukacharya has stated on Thursday that its current profit for 2011 (in 9 months) was a colossal Rs. 6,534 crores, as confirmed by the minister.
In 2010, during 9 months, the collections were only Rs.5,523 crores. By 2012, in the new financial year, the target is raised to Rs.10,000 crores, Renukacharya indicated with an air of confidence.
Out of 875 native distillery pots in the state, 400 have been smashed, he pointed out. People drink either Indian made (foreign) liquor or guzzle UB beer bottles these days for comfort, he added. The local distillery pots, if any, will be totally smashed, he assured to keep people free from mass suicides by drinking poisonous home-made liquors.
Out of 30 districts, eleven were now free from native brews, enterprising minister declared, while expanding his liquor shops all over Karnataka.
